Perfume

This was my entry to the Penguin Design Awards, to design the jacket for Patrick Suskind's 'Perfume: The Story of a Murderer'.
The image came from the idea of Grenouille's strangling hands forming a heart shape, representing the love that his victims instill in others, as he crushes the life force out of them.

Unfortunately, I wasn't one of the shortlisted entries, but nonetheless, I'm still happy with it. I guess that's what counts. Maybe.

This is a clever concept. You have a really strong and distintive visual style. Shame about not being shortlisted, but good work nonetheless :)
